Start The Day Strong

Do you start your day by thinking about all the things you need to get done?

If you feel like your to-do list is out of control, and it’s hard to get your day started, try this:

Prioritize your work at the end of your day.

You already have all your work in front of you. Put it away for the day by stacking or filing in order that you’ll need to work on them on the next workday, with the first thing on top.

  • If your workspace is organized for it, clear your workspace of all but the first project. Place your other work, in priority order, on another table or in front of your primary file drawer.

This allows for you to not waste any of the prime time at the start of a shift trying to decide what to work on first, and minimizes distractions.

You get to come to work… and just start working.
